...A Soldiers Walk

I wrote this in honor of those who gave all...

A Soldier walks alone now, high up in the clouds

This Soldier Standing tall for he is strong and proud

for he has marched his steps so sure

his eyes are fixed upon the gates

So honorable is this Soldier, his mission, God's fate

He is welcomed into God's kingdom; his weapon is his soul,

this Soldier is no longer alone, the love has filled him full

This Soldier walks confidently, His head held high,

This Soldiers sacrifice, Honorable...so I must say.

This prayer is dedicated to all those who have gone before me and who will follow me in the line When I am called to duty, God, wherever flames may rage, Give me the strength to save some life whatever be its age. Help me embrace a little child before it is too late, or save an older person from the horror of that fate. Enable me to be alert and hear the weakest shout, and quickly and efficiently to put the fire out. I want to fill my calling and to give the best in me, to guard my every neighbor and protect his property. And if according to my fate I am to lose my life this day, Please bless with your protecting hand my family this I pray.
